Metalfold Industries Bloomfield Premier 3 vs Dannevirke.
Saturday 2nd of December at Ongley Park 9
We kick off our T20 season with a game against one of the only 2 teams we have lost to so far in the longer format. Trout won the toss and decided to have a bowl again. Ben opened up from the MCA end and broke through in his first over trapping Eden Chapman-Peters in front LBW. From there Things started to go Dannevirke’s way with both Graeme Harris and William Allomes starting to play some shots. The runs started to pile on and a breakthrough was needed.

Criag Trim was the one to find it. He picked up both William and Graeme’s wickets as well as running out Kaiden Ball with a sharp throw from fine leg. What was looking like a big total had taken a massive hit. Ben and Kurtis closed out the innings picking up a few more wickets and Dannevirke stumbled to 124/8 after 20 overs.
Jase and Bish got us off to a good start with the bat getting through to 40 without loss. It looked as though we might have had this one in the bag if it wasn’t for Eden Chapman-Peters. He came on to bowl at 40 for 0 and after 2 overs had us reeling at 48 for 3, completely destroying our top order. With Bish (31), Jase (10) and Corey (4) all back at the pavilion it was up to Randy and Kurtis to see us home.

It wasn’t Randy’s day though as he went out caught for 3. Paulie, Lazer and Craig Trim were all bowled leaving us in a fair old pickle. Kurtis was still out there plundering and with a run a ball required we were still odds on for a win. That was until the run rate pressure took its toll and Kurtis was run out for 52. With 2 runs required from 2 balls Benjamin strolled out to the crease. With a ramp shot the obvious play he ended up digging out a sweet off stump yorker from Taj Chapman-Peters and managed to scamper through for the single. With the whole field in around the bat a big shot would seal the game but another magnificent ball from Taj had Chicken digging out another good ball. A missed shy at the stumps allowed the run to be completed and Bloomfield picked up the win of the last ball.

Metalfold Industries Bloomfield Premier 3 vs Old Boys.
Saturday 2nd of December at Ongley Park 10
Our next T20 was against Old Boys right next to the 40 over match the Bloomers P4s were halfway through. Trout won the toss again and again, he decided to have a bowl. Ben and Trout opened up again with both proving very difficult to get away. Trout was the fist to make the breakthrough picking up the wicket of Alex Watson which really settled him down as he was still very grumpy about the 3 dropped catches off his bowling in the previous match. Craig Trim replaced Ben at the MCA end and bowled Joe an over of pies which he was only too happy to gobble up. Luckily for Craig, Trout got Joe out in the next over for 23. The Bloomers bowling was pretty tight from that point on with Stephen Wales the only batsman to really impact the scorers with a well hit 28*. Old Boys finishing on 101/7.
Once again our top order shat the bed with Jason, Randy, Trout and Chicken all losing their wickets for single digit scores. That left it up to Bish and Kurtis to once again carry us through to the target in the 18th over. Bloomfield winning by 6 wickets.
